The Port Townsend Athletic Club takes pride in our staff, these are the people who make this club possible!

Teresa Hoffmann, Owner
Teresa has been an ACE-Certified and a group fitness instructor for over 15 years. Along with her husband Tim, she owns and operates the Port Townsend Athletic Club. She is very passionate about the Physical Arts and seeks to help people feel and be their personal best. Although Teresa is continually expanding her knowledge base and is dedicated to keeping current on the evolution of training and fitness options, she has particular fondness of "Old School" training techniques and exercises. "New and fancy is not always better...it's about what works. Take this old club, for isntance; I have always felt the club was a diamond in the rough. I am dedicated to turning PTAC into a hip, downtown community gym, unique to Port Townsend, that provides top quality training and group programs to its members by offering options for all ages."
Teresa has been a Port Townsend resident since 1981, she and her husband have five children: Savanna, Josef, Stevie-Ray, Sienna, and Angie.

Michael Glavianno, Instructor
Michael is a long-time student of Julianne Rice (Center for Spiritual Enlightenment) and, later, Linda Bonney (Yoga Fitness). He received initial teacher training from Erich Schiffmann. Later, he took a residential teacher training program with Tracey Rich & Ganga White and subsequently received his certification from the White Lotus Foundation. Michael has taught in yoga studios, athletic clubs, and martial art studios and believes yoga can be a valuable addition to nearly all physical fitness regimens. He borrows heavily from the Iyengar tradition to emphasize proper alignment and structures part of every class around a vinyasa practice in which poses “flow” from one to the next.

Andrea Dahdah, Instructor
Andrea has been teaching since January 2009. Purchasing a gym membership as a birthday present to herself, she got hooked on Body Pump®, and became an instructor a few months later. At the time, she weighed about 215 lbs. She had never imagined herself being an instructor, let alone someone else seeing that in her. During the summer of 2009, she wanted to set a goal to work towards for her 40th birthday in 2010 - become a BodyCombat® instructor. To her amazement, at 195 lbs. she passed the training and became certified! Andrea has also since become certified to teach BodyVive® as well.
After becoming an instructor at 215 lbs. Andrea has taken it on as her duty to influence people that physical activity is a crucial part of wellness. If she can do it, anyone can do it. She has struggled with being overweight all her life, and had all but given up on herself. Now that she knows that being fit is important, and not what size her jeans are, she’s got a healthier, more realistic perception of health and fitness.

Kathy Ziebell, Instructor
Kathy Ziebell has been teaching group fitness classes for 20 years. She started teaching aerobic dance classes in Indiana, then continued teaching various classes over the years as she moved with her military family from place to place. (Ski Fitness – Colorado, Step, Hi-Lo, Total Body Conditioning, Circuit Training, - Belgium, Step, Tums/Buns/Thighs, - North Carolina, and Step, Pilates, Senior Aerobics, Senior Conditioning – Washington. Kathy also enjoys hiking, reading, cooking, spending time with her kids, and walking her two wiener dogs!

Neil Comisioneru, Trainer, Instructor
Neil is an ACE-Certified personal trainer, with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. The past 7 years Neil has found a passion for physical fitness. Over the past 2 years, Neil has worked enthusiastically at creating fitness programs for people of all ages and ability levels. Neil entered his internship at Eastern Washington University Strength and Conditioning Program in 2007. Neil’s personal experience with fitness and exercise has been an asset to his career choice as a personal trainer, and group fitness instructor. Neil enjoys spending time with his family in Redmond, WA. He has volunteered for the Jefferson County Humane Society and is also pursuing a volunteer position with the East Jefferson Fire Rescue.

Abbie Little, Instructor
Abbie Little has been an avid group fitness participant since 1993. In 2003 Abbie started teaching at a YMCA in San Francisco, out of necessity, as they offered no group fitness class that incorporated weights. Upon moving back to Port Townsend, she completed the Les Mills Body Pump training and began teaching in the summer of 2004. Abbie has completed the YMCA instructor certification program and is certified by Les Mills International to teach Body Pump®. Not a self-described “aerobics teacher type”, Abbie has pushed to develop her teaching voice. She brings a warm laid-back style to her classes and enjoys introducing first-timers to the world of BodyPump®.
